Take a minute and think about it: Summer is about to end. At least for us living on the northern hemisphere of this planet. Summer is the season I think is the most beautiful one (although that’s arguable, obviously). And there is something about it that makes people wish it could go on for some time longer. Summer vacations, activities, the sun setting at 9 or 10 pm, warm wind while you’re lazying on the veranda, balcony or where ever you’ve chosen to let the sun shine on your body. Even the sticky, sweaty kind of heat has something charming about it, which we often think of when the icy droughts are biting at our fingers and ears during winter.
And while we watch the leaves turn different shades of orange, red and brown, we try to think of what else we still have to do till it really becomes too cold. Pull out that pair of sandals we bought, but never got to wear. Drive to the sea. Cycle around the countryside. Go for a picnic. Not to mention the trip we had planned to go on, but never got to raise enough funds for. Oh how I wish summer could last another month.
Now imagine, for some unknown reason, someone around you (or you yourself) were in touch with the force that controls the flow of time. And your wish for summer to last longer was so strong, that the entire planet would find themselves trapped in an infinite loop of summer without even knowing. At the end of summer, it would just start allover again and we wouldn’t know since our memories would rewind, too. It would loop hundred, thousand even ten thousand times, without anyone being aware of it. And all that simply because of the feeling that there is still something that we need to do before summer ends. And abstract concept, but it got me thinking and is a rather cute way to show how we are what we are, because of time. In no time we’ll be wrapping ourselves in thick scarves and hiding from the cold (at least that’s what I do) and the freedom of summer will only be a memory to keep us going till the next year. (Not to mention New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer starting September 10) But fall/winter does have it’s advantages, too, but that’s for a different entry. And who knows, maybe some of us might experience an Indian summer.

Best idea since DIY became chic. Not so convinced about the price, though.
